Job Description
Activities Director duties include but not limited to responsibilities associated with developing, organizing, planning, implementing and evaluating a well-rounded and stimulating activity program which fosters a positive atmosphere through activities that meet the spiritual, cultural, physical, intellectual and social needs of residents both inside and outside the Community. Additional duties may include driving the community bus, decorating appropriately for holidays and special occasions, making event calendar, arranging for appropriate entertainment, etc.
Required experience:
• Minimum of one year experience in a Geriatric, Long Term Care or Assisted Living setting
• Minimum one year experience providing planned activities or an equivalent of appropriate education or training program
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid First Aid Certification
• Must have a valid license to drive a passenger vehicle, state required licenses, and a clean motor vehicle report.
• Speak, read, and understand the English language
