Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation
- Service & Non-Profit Organizations
The community-based Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation helps cancer patients and their families shoulder the burden created by cancer through an individualized grant program that provides support for their unique situations.
Serving Yamhill, Lincoln and Tillamook counties since 2002, our mission is to “foster hope through the support of cancer patients, education and prevention.” Live local. Give local.
Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation is dedicated to educating children and adolescence of the dangers of exposure to carcinogenic toxins such as tobacco use and/or exposure and sun exposure and the proven preventable cancers these carcinogens cause. WVCF also provides curriculum to influence Healthy Eating and Exercise Habits. Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation uses tactile and interactive materials in order to deliver our curriculum both verbally and visually.
Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation aligns the Children’s Education Program Curriculum with facts and statistics from the National Institute for Health, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the United States Department of Agriculture, the Food and Drug Administration and tobaccofreekids.org.
Additionally, Kassandra Baker holds training through the Diabetes Training and Technical Assistance Center with Emory University and is certified with the National Diabetes Prevention Program through the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Our Education Program is designed to be fun, engaging and age appropriate.
WVCF offers a free adult tobacco cessation program call for more information.
