Name: Forgotten Heroes: The Robert Hartsock Story movie screening
Date: November 10, 2019
Time: 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM PST
Event Description:
Special Presentation in honor of Veterans Day. In Vietnam, over 10,000 American lives were saved by the actions of over 4,000 military working dogs and their handlers. This is the story of US Army SSgt Robert Hartsock, the only handler to receive the Medal of Honor. On February 23, 1969, SSgt Robert Hartsock became the first (and remains the only) military working dog handler to have ever received the Medal of Honor. His actions at Dau Tieng, (South) Vietnam saved his platoon commander, his unit, his base, every dog on the base, and altered the course of the Vietnam War. 50 years later, producer/director Jim Huggins and New Shepherd Films in association with C3 Entertainment have teamed up to tell the story. Director/Producer Jim Huggins will be on hand for the showing to discuss the project and the research.
