The public open house will share the final outcomes for the Three Mile Lane Area Planning effort that has been underway for the past three years, identifying the future land uses and transportation concepts for Highway 18 from the eastern city limits by the airport to the Yamhill River Bridge.
The City of McMinnville received a grant from the state Transportation Growth Management program to engage in this effort in 2018.Working with Oregon Department of Transportation staff, property owners, residents and businesses in the area, and community stakeholders, the City of McMinnville has hosted several public open houses, town halls and design charettes to brainstorm how this area of the community can best serve McMinnville now and into the future, and how to encourage the highest and best land uses on the land adjacent to Highway 18 while preserving the safety and traffic throughput of the highway system.
The virtual public open house is meant to provide the public with the final draft concepts recommended in the planning effort and to solicit input.
A joint work session has been scheduled with the McMinnville City Council and the McMinnville Planning Commission to discuss the results of this planning effort and the draft final plan, on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, 5:30 PM.
