BILINGUAL HR/PAYROLL MANAGER FOR LOCAL OWNED FARM

Locally-owned farming operation, widely known for the production of premium quality agricultural products located in Yamhill County, are in need of a Bilingual HR/Payroll Manager for their office. This position requires a solid HR background as this is the priority in needed skillsets. Grass seed is the company’s biggest commodity and they also raise hazelnuts, nursery stock, blueberries and other seed crops so experience in the agricultural field is very helpful. This position can have a flexible working schedule and includes competitive wages.
 
Primary Responsibilities:
 
  • Responsible for the recruitment and selection process of all labor and non-management personnel.
  • Administers all employee onboarding paperwork including recruiting, screening and interviewing.
  • Plan, coordinate and attend Career fairs.
  • Assist in the process of payroll, prep & maintain payroll system and ensure timeliness and accuracy.
  • Data input of payroll information into QuickBooks database and develop reports as requested.
  • Respond to employee inquiries and complaints to ensure quick, equitable and courteous resolution.
  • Responsible for employee policy enforcement and benefits administration.
 
 
 
Qualifications & Requirements:
 
  • Formal college level training/education in Human Resources or related field and a minimum of 2 years of equivalent job experience.
  • Knowledge of Oregon Labor laws.
  • Previous experience working with Payroll Processing.
  • Strong Excel experience specifically with pivot tables and VLookup’s and knowledgeable with spreadsheets, workbooks, creation and formatting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English and ability to assist in interpretation for Spanish speaking employees.
  • Solid math skills and attention to detail, ability to work accurately with numbers and follow instructions to complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Thorough understanding of human resources support functions and procedures and understanding of accepted rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and individually to accomplish work assignments with minimal supervision and within defined timelines.
  • Demonstrate an understanding in ethical practices.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records / computer literate.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement concerning privileged information.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Able to effectively communicate positively, respectfully, sensitively and confidentially with co-workers, employees and vendors.
  • Represent the organization to the public in a professional manner.
  • Well-defined organizational and telephone communication skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate with peers and Coordinators to relay important information quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to participate in effective conflict resolution practices.
 
 
 
Schedule and Salary:
  • Base pay $25+/hour DOE
  • Normal working schedule Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm with flexibility offered
